Posted in In The City, Special Events with tags , , , , on November 18, 2009 by jayev3ryday

Last night was the grand opening party for American Eage Outfiters in Times Square. A lot of stars came out to celebrate the new store and party on the inside with Leighton Meester of Gossip Girls and a lot more people who I recognize but forget their name. I couldnt take photos inside but lets just say that there was a lot of booze, food, bags and free custom hoodies and hats going around. Thanks AE

More photos after the jump…

This may be the year to go actually go downtown and see the ball drop.

The new Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball is a 12 foot geodesic sphere, double the size of previous Balls, and weighs 11,875 pounds.  Covered in 2,668 Waterford Crystals and powered by 32,256 Philips Luxeon Rebel LEDS, the new Ball is capable of creating a palette of more than 16 million vibrant colors and billions of patterns producing a spectacular kaleidoscope effect atop One Times Square.

Go to the Time Square Alliance site to see more pics and get more information on the ball
2009 might be a good year!
